Mike Finoia Explores Conscious Aging with a Twist
Do you ever feel like aging is a mysterious portal trapped with an existential void? Well, I do. But after Mike dropped into this episode of the podcast my own fears have softened and evolved into a much wiser and softer view of the whole thing. Mike shares some of his most recent psychedelic experiences and how they have brought him closer to his own brand of conscious aging. Not only is Mike funny (he is a professional comedian, duh) but he is also wise, compassionate and on to something! I enjoyed this one immensely.

The Politics of Aging
Aging is coming for all of us. It’s happening to all of us. Big milestones will seem like far off lines in the sand when all of a sudden you’re there…40, 50 and beyond.
In todays western world we seem to treat aging as something to fear rather than to embrace. We are told than we are “old” that we are no longer relevant and that the shinny exterior of youth should be something that one should never let go of.
The question that we should be asking ourselves is. how can we continue to reinvent ourselves no matter what age we are at and no matter what society says we should be doing at that age. I had the best teacher ever in Timothy – he was constantly finding new ways to stay current and to keep his edge. Even in his 70s he was bucking trends and throttling himself into the cyberpunk matrix with all the “kids.” He never cared or even acknowledged what anyone else cared or thought. He took aging gracefully into new arenas with limitless boundaries.
As I age, I wonder if I’m made of the same pixie dust.
