About This Event
Psychedelic Culture 2026 is Chacruna Institute’s annual three-day conference bringing together researchers, Indigenous leaders, healers, clinicians, activists, and community members from around the world for one of the most substantive gatherings in the field.
Held at the Brava Theater — a women-led co-op in San Francisco’s Mission District — the conference runs three simultaneous tracks across three days, covering the full breadth of where psychedelic science, culture, and advocacy intersect.
Topics include Indigenous reciprocity and biocultural conservation, law and policy reform, racial equity and access, queering psychedelics, perspectives from the Global South, ethics around touch and sexual abuse, neuroscience and shamanism dialogues, and critical reflections on psychedelic-assisted therapy. Alongside the panels and talks, attendees can participate in music and art-centered workshops and ceremonies.
Chacruna’s conferences are known for centering voices that are often missing from mainstream psychedelic conversations — and for combining intellectual rigor with heart, community, and lived experience.
